Curator Melanie Courbet opened her doors in 2013, but before having this remarkable shop with adjacent gallery she was a curator and consultant specializing in contemporary art and design. Exhibitions developed by Melanie have been shown in the New Museum in New York, Le Musee des Arts Decorratifs in Paris, Christie’s and many more. When you walk into Atelier Courbet, you will find extraordinary pieces from all over the world.

Once you go through the doors of Atelier Courbet you will discover beautifully crafted furniture, lighting, table accessories, rugs and textiles. Each piece is crafted and handmade from artisans from Mali, Japan, Sweden, Italy, Tibet, Mongolia, and France. Some of the artisans go as far back as 16th Century and their pieces are still very modern and luxurious today. They are made for those that want quality and appreciate art.
